About
Mary Ellen Conlon is the Founder and Artistic Director of Giggles Drama School in County Mayo. Mary Ellen teaches and writes to ensure a student centred approach. Giggles Drama School is for young people to explore drama and the theatre in a fun, safe and creative environment.
Mary Ellen teaches in St Joseph’s Secondary School Foxford, where she works with the Transitions Year Students and has written and directed their Musicals: Twist & Shout, Peter Pan, Grease, Legally Blond, High School Musical, The Royal Wedding, Sing, Teen Beach The Musical and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
Mary Ellen has written and produced plays with the Railway Theatre Group: Three Plus One and A Moment Right Here.
Currently Mary Ellen is facilitating Mayo’s Youth Theatre Group in Foxford. The vision for Youth Theatre is to empower young people to believe in their own creativity, skill set and to live in the moment and see no boundaries in the world of Theatre.
